It seems fitting at the beginning of 2015 to take time to celebrate the achievements of some of our key staff members. We take pride in our large and growing team of experts, many of whom have trained and developed their craft within the firm itself.
We are extremely proud that Beverley Brook, one of the key members of the Wills and Probate team celebrated 40 years of service with Punch Robson last year.
At the other end of the scale, we are pleased to announce that our trainee Jonathan Gordon successfully completed his qualifications in September and he has taken the position of Solicitor in our Commercial Department. Jonathan is joined by Rachael Longstaff who joined the Commercial Team as a paralegal.
Our investment in developing the solicitors of the future continues, and Hannah Gawthorpe joined the firm in September 2014 to start her traineeship.
Our extremely well respected Mental Health team has expanded, with the arrival of two new solicitors – Rachael Hart and Julia Walker. So too has our Family Law team where we welcomed Sarah Bailes (Solicitor). And we are proud to announce that Julie Brown is now Associate Solicitor, a promotion which reflects her specialist expertise in the field of Family Law.
Finally, the leadership team at Punch Robson has grown this year to include Katherine Eaton (Head of Residential Conveyancing), Katie Wigham (Head of Wills, Probate and Trust) and Elaine McLaine (Head of Corporate and Commercial). All three of the new partners are well known in the region for their expertise and gravitas within their respective fields, and play a key role in ensuring Punch Robson continues to provide an excellent legal service to our clients across the North East.
Like everyone, at Punch Robson we find the start of a new year to be a time for reflection. We are pleased that 2014 was been a positive year for many of the clients, and friends of the firm. For those for whom 2014 has been more challenging, we hope we have been able to provide support through those difficult times, and we sincerely wish the best for you all in 2015.
