Punch Robson are recruiting secretaries, paralegals and trainee solicitors and would very much like you to consider joining us where you will get the opportunity to work with our different teams, colleagues and clients.
We view paralegals as having as usual to play in the success of our firm. Being a paralegal provides invaluable experience and you will be seen as professionals in your own right, giving training and responsibility from true leaders in their respective fields. Whilst becoming a paralegal is no guarantee to being given a training contract, your application will be enhanced by the invaluable experience undertaken as a paralegal with us.
Punch Robson has transitioned for its trainees to take the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) (offering) which will still provide 6 months in four placement seats. If you have qualifying time to count this can reduce the length of your training but this will be dependent on a number of factors including performance, completion of the course and business needs at the time.
If you have completed the Legal Practice Course you will be exempt from completing SQE1 and will only need to complete SQE2 as part of your training contract.
We accept applications from non-law students but would expect you to have completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Law/Graduate Diploma in Law, or equivalent, before starting your training contract.
Funding for the SQE will be funded by us and time off for exams and revision will be provided.
Applications for secretaries and paralegals are for the Commercial and Private Client teams with a view to joining as soon as possible. Training contracts will be available for autumn 2023, 2024 and 2025.
If you are interested in either a paralegal or training contract position, please provide send your CV for consideration to aguthrie@punchrobson.law
