International Women’s Day Event
Solicitors from our family law team are looking forward to attending an event on Saturday 7th March at Middlesbrough Town Hall to celebrate International Women’s Day 2015. Why not come along and join us?
The event which will take place from 10am until 3pm is jam packed full of advice, inspiration and fun with a list of impressive speakers, a market place of stalls and plenty of great food.
The theme of this year’s event is ‘Make It Happen’ – and the vision for the event is to promote the importance and value of gender equality to families, communities and society as a whole.
Stalls will feature a wide range of agencies and organisations including Middlesbrough Council, Teesside University, Cleveland College of Art & Design, Olde Young Tea House, Middlesbrough Milk Rollers, My Sister’s Place, Harbour, ARCH, Nur Fitness, Life Store, Foundation, Hart Gables, Justice First, Middlesbrough Soroptimists, HALO, Barnardo’s, Cleveland Girl Guides, Young People’s Services, Volunteering Services and other services promoting, training, employment, education, cultural, health and wellbeing opportunities.
Speakers include Judge Gillian Matthews, Jane Atkinson (Vice President of SembCorp), Yasmin Khan from HALO, Carli Jayne McNaught from Olde Young Tea House and Lucie Fleming from Justice First.
If you are feeling brave, participants are being encouraged to #PaintItPurple to celebrate the colour of International Women’s Day so dress up, wear a wig, dye your hair or create artwork to join in.
The event is free to attend, and you’ll find our stall in the market place. If you’d like to speak to us privately one of our team will be available across the day with access to a consultation room within the building. We hope to see you there.
