James is the Head of the Wills Probate and Trusts Department. James is a fully accredited member of STEP (the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners) and has worked at both large regional firms and an award winning Newcastle based city firm before taking up his role with Punch Robson Solicitors.
Experienced in all aspects of private client work, James can assist with everything from the preparation of wills, trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney to both simple and complex estate administration. James has a particular expertise in lifetime estate planning and regularly works with accountants, financial advisers and wealth managers to achieve the best outcomes for his clients. Such planning often involves business succession and/or assets held in other legal jurisdictions where working with overseas advisers is also necessary.
In addition to practising as a solicitor, James practises as a Notary Public. In his role as a Notary, James is required to authenticate and certify signatures, authorities and capacity relating to documents for use abroad.
